Chambered in .38 Super, this special Government Model features smooth slide flats without the standard Colt roll marks, leaving an open canvas for personalized engraving and decorative metalwork.

The pistol retains the classic proportions and operating characteristics of a full-size Colt 1911, including a 5-inch barrel, single-action trigger, traditional spur hammer, manual thumb safety and grip safety. Its blued carbon-steel frame and slide are complemented by double-diamond checkered wood grips.

This model is supplied without factory-installed sights so a custom builder can select and install sights appropriate for the finished project. With its understated factory configuration and desirable .38 Super chambering, the O1911C-38Z is an excellent starting point for a custom presentation pistol, commemorative build or personalized family heirloom.
