The Kimber 1911 Next Generation Stainless Model 3200401 is a full-size 9mm Luger single-stack 1911 that combines traditional Government-size ergonomics with several of Kimber’s latest performance upgrades. It features a 5-inch barrel, 9+1 capacity, stainless-steel construction, optics-ready slide, external extractor, GT Trigger, and premium black walnut grips with G10 inlays.
Kimber developed the Next Generation 1911 series by carrying over several performance features introduced with the 2K11 platform. Most notably, Model 3200401 incorporates an optics-ready stainless-steel slide and ships with an RMR adapter plate, allowing the pistol to be configured with a compatible red-dot optic while retaining the classic proportions of a full-size 1911.
Internally, Kimber incorporates a sloped disconnector ramp and GT Trigger, upgrades intended to provide the match-grade performance and refined shooting characteristics expected from a premium 1911. The pistol also uses an external extractor, another modern departure from the traditional 1911 design intended to provide consistent extraction.
The pistol's steel frame and stainless-steel slide are complemented by black walnut grips with G10 inlays, providing a combination of traditional styling and additional gripping texture. Front and rear slide serrations provide positive purchase during loading, unloading, and press checks.
