Description

The Kimber 2K11 Target OI Model 3500055 is a premium, competition-oriented 9mm Luger double-stack 1911-style pistol that comes factory-equipped with a Trijicon SRO 2.5 MOA red-dot optic. Featuring a 5-inch barrel, 20+1 capacity, stainless-steel frame, Coyote Brown PVD finish, GT Trigger, Stan Chen Customs® magwell, aluminum grips, and three included magazines, the 3500055 is a turnkey optics-equipped version of Kimber's flagship 2K11 Target platform.

The 2K11 was designed around an enhanced sub-frame intended to provide improved magazine fit and shooter control while retaining the familiar single-action characteristics of the 1911. Kimber pairs the double-stack design with a Stan Chen Customs® magwell, accessory rail, and its patent-pending tool-less guide rod.

Model 3500055 is chambered in 9mm Luger and features a 5-inch rifled barrel with a 1:10 twist. The pistol measures 8.56 inches overall and weighs 42.9 ounces, giving it the substantial weight and stability desirable in a full-size target or competition pistol.

One of the defining characteristics of this configuration is its Coyote Brown PVD treatment. Davidson's specifies a Coyote Brown PVD-coated frame along with a brush-polished slide with Coyote PVD, creating the distinctive black-and-brown appearance of this Target model.

The OI (Optic Included) designation is particularly important on Model 3500055. Unlike an optics-ready model that requires the customer to purchase an optic separately, this pistol comes factory-equipped with a Trijicon SRO featuring a 2.5 MOA dot. It also uses a TAG Precision Fixed FiberLok 2 front sight.

Kimber equips the pistol with its GT Trigger, which Davidson's lists with an average pull of approximately 3.5 pounds. Kimber describes the GT system as having a 3–4 lb. pull and being precision-machined and finished for a clean, crisp break.

Additional performance features include matte anodized aluminum grips, an ambidextrous thumb safety, external extractor, front and rear slide serrations, and double-stack magazine system. Model 3500055 ships with three magazines and provides a factory-listed 20+1 capacity.
