The Kimber Rapide Dawn 1911 Model 3000923 is a premium full-size .45 ACP single-action pistol combining Kimber’s match-grade 1911 construction with the distinctive styling of the Rapide series. The Rapide Dawn platform features a 5-inch match-grade barrel, 8+1 capacity, stainless-steel construction, aggressive slide lightening cuts, TruGlo® TFX Pro sights, V-Cut aluminum trigger, and Rapide G10 grips.
The Rapide series is distinguished by its extensively machined slide, incorporating front and rear cocking serrations along with lightening cuts. In addition to giving the Dawn its unmistakable appearance, the cuts reduce slide mass while providing additional gripping surfaces for manipulation.
A 5-inch match-grade barrel provides the accuracy expected from Kimber's performance-oriented 1911 lineup. The barrel uses a 1:16 twist, while the full-size steel frame gives the pistol the weight and balance associated with a traditional Government-size 1911. Comparable Rapide Dawn .45 ACP configurations weigh approximately 38 ounces and measure 8.7 inches overall.
The Dawn pairs its stainless construction with Kimber's Silver KimPro II finish and contrasting gray-and-black Rapide G10 grips. Kimber's front-strap treatment and textured grip panels provide additional purchase while maintaining the premium appearance that distinguishes the Dawn from more traditional Kimber 1911s. Davidson's confirms the Silver KimPro II treatment, G10 grips and stainless-steel construction on the Rapide Dawn .45 ACP configuration.
Factory sights are TruGlo TFX Pro sights, with an orange-outline front sight designed for rapid acquisition across varying lighting conditions. The pistol also incorporates an extended beavertail, manual safety and external hammer-fired operating system.
The V-Cut aluminum trigger complements the pistol's performance-oriented design, while the single-stack magazine system provides an 8+1 capacity in .45 ACP.
Overall, the Kimber Rapide Dawn 3000923 is positioned as a premium .45 ACP 1911 for shooters looking for traditional Government-size handling combined with distinctive styling, match-grade components and upgraded sights.
