The Ruger American Rifle Generation II Ranch Model 46924 combines the compact handling of Ruger's Ranch configuration with the hard-hitting .400 Legend cartridge. With its 16.10-inch barrel, 5-round AR-style magazine, adjustable Gen II stock, Cobalt Cerakote finish, and factory-installed muzzle brake, the 46924 is a compact bolt-action hunting rifle built for maneuverability in the field.
The rifle features a 16.10-inch cold hammer-forged, non-fluted barrel. Ruger's cold hammer-forging process produces precise rifling for accuracy and longevity, while the compact barrel makes the rifle particularly convenient for hunting from blinds, tree stands, and dense cover. The barrel is threaded 11/16"-24 and comes equipped with a factory-installed radial-port muzzle brake.
Ruger applies a durable Cobalt Cerakote® finish to the barrel, receiver, muzzle brake, and bolt handle. The barreled action is paired with Ruger's distinctive Flat Dark Earth Splatter Gen II American stock, which provides a secure gripping surface without being excessively sharp or abrasive.
The Gen II stock also offers considerable adjustability. Removing the installed spacer changes the length of pull from 13.75 inches to 12 inches, while the removable low comb is designed to provide proper alignment when using magnified optics. Ruger's soft rubber recoil pad uses a progressively collapsing design to help reduce felt recoil.
For accuracy and trigger control, the Model 46924 features Ruger's Marksman Adjustable™ trigger, providing a crisp release with a user-adjustable pull weight between 3 and 5 pounds. Ruger's patented Power Bedding™ system positively locates the receiver while free-floating the barrel to promote consistent accuracy.
The one-piece stainless-steel bolt uses a three-lug design with a 70-degree bolt throw, providing plenty of clearance for mounted optics. An oversized bolt handle assists with positive manipulation, while the three-position tang safety can lock the bolt against inadvertent opening while still allowing the rifle to be loaded with the safety engaged.
A factory-installed one-piece Picatinny scope base makes mounting your preferred optic straightforward. Feeding from a 5-round AR-style magazine and weighing only 6 pounds, the Ruger American Gen II Ranch 46924 offers a compact and versatile platform for hunters looking to take advantage of the .400 Legend cartridge.
