The Ruger American Rifle Generation II Standard Model 46907 is a .400 Legend bolt-action rifle designed around Ruger’s updated Gen II American platform. This configuration features a 20-inch cold hammer-forged non-fluted barrel, 5-round AR-style magazine, Gray Splatter adjustable stock, Gun Metal Gray Cerakote finish, threaded muzzle with factory radial-port muzzle brake, Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger, three-position tang safety, and factory-installed Picatinny scope base. Unlike many of the spiral-fluted Gen II Standard rifles, Model 46907 uses a non-fluted 20-inch barrel. The barrel is cold hammer-forged for precise rifling and longevity and uses a 1:16" right-hand twist with five grooves.

The .400 Legend chambering is paired with a 5-round AR-style detachable magazine, rather than the flush-fit or AI-style magazines used by some other American Gen II chamberings. Ruger includes one magazine with the rifle.
