The Ruger American Rifle Generation II Standard Model 46906 is a .350 Legend bolt-action rifle built around Ruger’s updated Gen II American platform. This configuration features a 20-inch cold hammer-forged spiral-fluted barrel, 5-round AR-style detachable magazine, Gray Splatter adjustable stock, Gun Metal Gray Cerakote finish, threaded muzzle with factory radial-port muzzle brake, Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger, three-position tang safety, and factory-installed Picatinny scope base. Ruger confirms the exact configuration as Model 46906 / UPC 736676469062.

Chambered in .350 Legend, Model 46906 uses a 20-inch medium-contour barrel with deep spiral fluting. The fluting removes weight toward the muzzle to improve balance while maintaining barrel stiffness. The cold hammer-forged barrel uses a 1:16" right-hand twist with five grooves.

The muzzle is threaded 1/2"-28, an important SKU-specific specification for this model, and Ruger installs a radial-port muzzle brake at the factory. The barrel, muzzle brake, receiver, and bolt handle receive Ruger’s Gun Metal Gray Cerakote finish for increased durability and easier maintenance.

Model 46906 feeds from a 5-round AR-style detachable magazine and includes one magazine. This magazine configuration is particularly important when distinguishing the .350 Legend model from other American Gen II rifles that use flush-fit, AI-style, or other magazine systems.

The rifle uses Ruger’s Gray Splatter Gen II American synthetic stock. Its textured splatter finish is designed to provide additional grip without being overly abrasive. A soft rubber recoil pad features progressively collapsing geometry intended to reduce felt recoil while its rounded heel assists with shouldering.

Stock fit can be adjusted between 12" and 13.75" length of pull by removing the factory-installed spacer. The installed low comb is also removable, allowing the stock configuration to be adapted for different sight and optic heights.

The rifle incorporates the Ruger Marksman Adjustable™ trigger, providing a user-adjustable pull weight between 3 and 5 pounds. Ruger’s Power Bedding™ integral bedding block system positively locates the receiver while free-floating the barrel.

Another major Gen II upgrade is the three-position tang safety. It can lock the bolt to help prevent inadvertent opening while still allowing the rifle to be loaded with the safety engaged.

The one-piece bolt is CNC-machined from stainless steel and uses Ruger’s three-lug design with a 70-degree bolt throw, providing additional clearance around a mounted scope. The oversized bolt handle improves manipulation and uses a 5/16"-24 thread pattern for straightforward replacement.

Traditional iron sights are omitted. Instead, Ruger equips Model 46906 with a factory-installed one-piece Picatinny scope base. The rifle weighs 6.4 pounds, measures 41.25 inches overall, and includes steel sling swivel studs.
