The Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy AOS combines the familiar handling and single-action operation of the 1911 platform with a modern double-stack design and optics-ready configuration.
Chambered in 9mm Luger, this model features a 5-inch match-grade stainless-steel bull barrel, 10+1 capacity, and a Black Cerakote carbon-steel slide with aggressive serrations. Springfield’s AOS optics-ready system allows the pistol to be configured with compatible red-dot optics using the appropriate mounting plate.
The Black Cerakote steel frame incorporates a beavertail grip safety and Picatinny accessory rail, while the textured polymer grip module provides the higher-capacity double-stack profile associated with the Prodigy platform. Ambidextrous controls make the pistol adaptable for both right- and left-handed shooters.
With its full-length 5-inch barrel, double-stack 1911 design, optics capability, and modern accessory rail, the Prodigy AOS is well suited for range use, training, and performance-focused shooting.
