The Resilient Suppressors Free Bird .36 is a modular, multi-caliber suppressor designed for use across pistols, submachine guns, and rifles. Its two-piece modular construction allows the suppressor to be shortened when reduced overall length and weight are desired. Resilient rates the Free Bird for cartridges ranging from 9mm and 5.56 NATO through .338 Lapua Magnum, subject to the manufacturer's applicable barrel-length and firing restrictions.

The Free Bird is constructed from 17-4 stainless steel and finished in Cerakote. In its full-length configuration, it measures 7.470 inches long, 1.490 inches in diameter, and weighs 16.3 ounces. Integrated wrench flats are incorporated into the design to simplify installation and removal.

A major feature of the Free Bird is its HUB/Bravo 1.375x24 compatibility. This allows it to work with a broad selection of HUB-compatible direct-thread and quick-detach mounting systems rather than locking the owner into a proprietary mounting ecosystem. Resilient also supports interchangeable endcaps and specifically notes compatibility with accessories including the Dead Air E-Brake.

The Free Bird is full-auto rated, although Resilient describes it as a standard-duty suppressor rather than one intended for belt-fed use. The manufacturer specifies full-auto operation below 1,000°F, with a muzzle brake required for full-auto use with 5.56/.223 and 7.62x39.

The suppressor includes a 1/2x28 titanium direct-thread adapter and 9mm endcap from the factory, giving it a useful starting configuration right out of the box.
