The Ruger GP100® Match Champion® Model 1755 is a competition-oriented .357 Magnum double-action revolver that takes Ruger’s proven GP100 platform and adds a factory-tuned action, competition sights, specialized barrel, chamfered cylinder, and custom Hogue® hardwood grip. With a 4.20-inch half-lug barrel, six-round capacity, satin stainless finish, fiber-optic front sight, and adjustable rear sight, Model 1755 is purpose-built for shooters who want enhanced performance straight from the factory.
A major difference between the Match Champion and a standard GP100 is the attention Ruger gives to the action. Model 1755 features polished and optimized internal components, a centering boss on the trigger, and centering shims on the hammer. Together, these enhancements are designed to produce a smooth double-action trigger pull with a crisp and consistent let-off.
The revolver features a 4.20-inch half-lug barrel with an 11-degree target crown. The half-lug configuration contributes to lively handling and quicker transitions between targets, while the target crown is designed to support competitive-level accuracy.
For sighting, Ruger equips Model 1755 with a highly visible fiber-optic front sight paired with a fully adjustable rear sight. The combination provides a fast, easy-to-acquire sight picture while allowing windage and elevation adjustments for different ammunition and shooting preferences.
The Match Champion also receives a custom Hogue® stippled hardwood grip. Its textured sides provide a secure gripping surface, while the grip profile was specifically selected for competition shooting.
Loading and reloading are aided by a lightly chamfered cylinder and chamber mouths, helping cartridges enter the chambers more smoothly. Ruger’s triple-locking cylinder system locks the cylinder into the frame at the front, rear, and bottom for positive alignment and dependable operation.
