The Ruger PC Carbine Model 19117 is a capacity-compliant 9mm Luger semi-automatic carbine combining Ruger’s proven PC Carbine takedown system with a 16.12-inch threaded and fluted barrel, aluminum free-float M-LOK handguard, adjustable ghost-ring sights, and interchangeable magazine wells. Model 19117 ships with a 10-round magazine, making it the capacity-compliant version of this PC Carbine configuration.
The rifle features a 16.12-inch cold hammer-forged chrome-moly steel barrel with a heavy contour for consistent accuracy. Fluting removes unnecessary weight to improve handling, while the muzzle is threaded 1/2"-28 and supplied with a thread protector. The barrel uses a 1:10" right-hand twist with six grooves.
Surrounding the barrel is a CNC-machined aluminum free-float handguard with a durable Type III hard-coat anodized finish. Magpul® M-LOK® accessory slots are positioned on all four sides, providing substantial flexibility for mounting compatible accessories while maintaining a clean, modern configuration.
One of the PC Carbine's most useful features is its interchangeable magazine-well system. Model 19117 ships with the SR-Series™/Security-9® magazine well installed and includes an additional magazine well compatible with Glock® magazines. Ruger American® Pistol magazine wells are also available separately.
Ruger's dead-blow action incorporates a custom tungsten weight that shortens bolt travel and helps reduce felt recoil and muzzle rise. The bolt is machined from heat-treated chrome-moly steel for strength and durability. The trigger system utilizes proven Ruger 10/22® components, providing a light, crisp pull with minimal overtravel and a positive reset.
The PC Carbine is also designed with ambidextrous adaptability in mind. Both the magazine release and charging handle are reversible, allowing the rifle's controls to be configured around shooter preference.
For sighting, Model 19117 features an adjustable ghost-ring rear aperture sight paired with a protected, non-glare blade front sight. The aluminum receiver also incorporates a Picatinny-style optics rail, providing a factory mounting point for compatible red dots and other optics.
The black glass-filled nylon synthetic buttstock incorporates Ruger's proprietary texturing for improved control and includes a soft rubber buttpad. Three 1/2-inch spacers are included, allowing the length of pull to be adjusted between 12.62 and 14.12 inches to accommodate different shooters and clothing configurations.
Another defining feature is Ruger's easy takedown system. The barrel and forend assembly can be separated from the action, providing a much more compact package for lawful storage and transportation.
