The Ruger PC Carbine™ Model 19100 is a versatile 9mm Luger semi-automatic takedown carbine designed for recreational shooting, competition, home defense, and range use. Featuring a 16.12-inch cold hammer-forged threaded and fluted barrel, 17-round capacity, adjustable ghost ring sights, and Ruger's innovative takedown system, Model 19100 combines portability, reliability, and magazine compatibility in a lightweight platform.
One of the defining features of the PC Carbine is its easy takedown design. By locking the bolt to the rear, pressing the recessed takedown lever, and twisting the barrel assembly, the rifle quickly separates into two compact sections for convenient transport and storage without the need for tools.
Model 19100 features a 16.12-inch cold hammer-forged chrome-moly steel barrel with weight-saving fluting and a factory 1/2"-28 threaded muzzle protected by an included thread protector. The barrel utilizes 1:10" right-hand twist rifling, providing excellent accuracy and long service life.
The rifle operates using Ruger's Dead Blow blowback action, which incorporates a custom tungsten weight within the bolt to reduce bolt travel, felt recoil, and muzzle rise. This system produces smoother cycling and faster follow-up shots than traditional straight-blowback pistol-caliber carbines.
A standout feature of the PC Carbine platform is its interchangeable magazine well system. Model 19100 ships with the SR-Series®/Security-9® magazine well installed and includes an additional magazine well compatible with Glock® 9mm magazines, allowing shooters to choose the magazine system that best fits their needs.
The rifle features a CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminum receiver finished with Type III hard-coat anodizing and an integrated Picatinny optics rail. Ruger equips the rifle with an adjustable ghost ring rear sight and a protected blade front sight, providing excellent iron sights while remaining optics-ready.
The glass-filled nylon synthetic stock includes a soft rubber recoil pad and three included ½-inch spacers, allowing shooters to adjust the length of pull from 12.62 inches to 14.12 inches. The rifle also features reversible charging handle and magazine release, making it equally accommodating for right- and left-handed shooters. Sling swivel studs and a forward accessory rail add additional versatility.
