One of the defining features of the PC Carbine is its easy takedown design. By locking the bolt open, pressing the recessed takedown lever, and twisting the barrel assembly, the rifle separates into two compact sections for convenient transportation and storage without the need for tools.
Model 19101 features a 16.12-inch cold hammer-forged chrome-moly steel barrel with weight-saving fluting. Unlike threaded variants, this model utilizes a plain, non-threaded muzzle, making it compliant with certain state regulations while maintaining the excellent accuracy and durability of the PC Carbine platform.
The Dead Blow blowback action incorporates a custom tungsten weight within the bolt that shortens bolt travel while reducing felt recoil and muzzle rise. This innovative system produces smoother cycling and faster follow-up shots compared to traditional straight-blowback pistol-caliber carbines.
A standout feature of the PC Carbine is its interchangeable magazine well system. Model 19101 ships with the SR-Series™/Security-9® magazine well installed and includes an additional magazine well compatible with Glock® 9mm magazines, allowing owners to choose the magazine platform that best fits their needs.
The rifle features a CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminum receiver finished with Type III hard-coat anodizing and an integrated Picatinny optics rail. Ruger equips the rifle with an adjustable ghost ring rear sight and a protected blade front sight, allowing excellent iron-sight performance while remaining ready for optics installation.
The glass-filled nylon synthetic stock includes a soft rubber recoil pad and three included ½-inch spacers, allowing shooters to adjust the length of pull from 12.62 inches to 14.12 inches.
