The Ruger Hawkeye Hunter Model 57124 is a premium 7mm Remington Magnum bolt-action hunting rifle combining classic American walnut with rugged stainless-steel construction. This configuration features a 24-inch cold hammer-forged threaded barrel, 3-round capacity, satin stainless finish, LC6™ trigger, Mauser-type controlled-round-feed action, three-position safety, and factory-installed 20 MOA Picatinny rail. Chambered in 7mm Rem Mag, Model 57124 uses a 24-inch free-floated, cold hammer-forged barrel with five grooves and a 1:8.5" right-hand twist. The barrel is threaded 5/8"-24 and comes from the factory with a thread protector.

The rifle is built from stainless steel with a Satin Stainless finish and paired with a traditional American walnut stock. Ruger contours the stock with wrap-around checkering on the grip and forend and rounded contours along the barrel channel, bottom of the stock, and top of the pistol grip.

A defining feature of the Hawkeye action is its non-rotating Mauser-type controlled-round-feed extractor. Ruger pairs the claw extractor with a fixed blade-style ejector for positive extraction and ejection as the bolt is cycled fully rearward. The rifle also uses a rugged one-piece stainless-steel bolt.
