The Ruger Mark IV™ 22/45™ Lite Model 43916 is a Davidson’s Distributor Exclusive .22 LR semi-automatic rimfire pistol featuring a distinctive OD Green anodized aluminum receiver, lightweight construction, threaded barrel, factory-installed Picatinny optics rail, and familiar 1911-style grip ergonomics. With a 4.40-inch barrel, 10+1 capacity, and unloaded weight of just 25 ounces, Model 43916 is designed as a lightweight, optics-ready configuration of Ruger’s popular Mark IV platform.

One of the defining features of the Mark IV platform is Ruger’s one-button takedown system. Pressing the button at the rear of the frame allows the barrel and receiver assembly to tilt upward and separate from the grip frame without tools, greatly simplifying field stripping and chamber-to-muzzle cleaning.

Model 43916 features a lightweight, ventilated aerospace-grade aluminum receiver finished in OD Green anodizing and paired with a tensioned stainless-steel barrel. The cold hammer-forged barrel measures 4.40 inches and uses a 1:16" right-hand twist with six grooves.

The barrel is factory threaded 1/2"-28 and includes a thread protector, allowing installation of compatible muzzle accessories. This threaded configuration, combined with the pistol's lightweight receiver, makes the 43916 a versatile addition to the Mark IV 22/45 Lite lineup.

For optics, Ruger installs a Picatinny rail directly from the factory. The pistol also features a fixed front sight and adjustable rear sight, giving shooters the option of using traditional iron sights or adding a compatible optic. Ruger's internal cylindrical bolt design maintains permanent sight-to-barrel alignment, contributing to the Mark IV's accuracy potential.

The precision-molded polymer grip frame incorporates a serrated frontstrap and checkered backstrap and is fitted with checkered 1911-style grip panels. This gives the 22/45 its familiar grip angle and comfortable, non-slip feel.

Additional features include an ambidextrous manual safety that can be converted to left-side-only operation using the included washer, an ergonomic bolt stop, left-side push-button magazine release, and a magazine disconnect that prevents firing when the magazine has been removed. Magazines drop free when released for convenient reloading.
